我的陕西科技馆之行

　　在我去过的美国与中国各地的科技馆中，陕西科技馆是最有趣的。
　　Among all of the science museums I have visited in the US and China, the Shaanxi Science Museum is the most interesting one.

　　我从小就爱去各地的科技馆。我去过很多的科技馆，如美国费城的富兰克林科技院和请触摸科技馆，纽约科技馆，纽约州宾厄姆顿市探求科技中心，新泽西自由科技中心，再如中国的北京科技馆，上海科技馆，和郑州科技馆。
　　Since I was young, I always loved to visit science museums. I have been to many science museums, for example, the Franklin Institute and the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia, the New York Hall of Science，the Discovery Center in Binghamton, NY, the Liberty Science Center in New Jersey, and science museums in Beijing, Shanghai and Zhengzhou, China.

　　妈妈和我于7月21日来到古都西安。在去西安宾馆的路上，我注意到了在新城广场的陕西科技馆。第二天，妈妈带我去看兵马俑。我又注意到我们路过了陕西科技馆， 于是我跟妈妈说，我们明天一定要去陕西科技馆。
　　My mom and I arrived in ancient capital Xian. On our way to Xian Hotel, I noticed Shaanxi Science Museum at Xincheng Square. The next day, my mom took me to visit the Terracotta Warriors . I noticed we passed the Shaanxi Science Museum again, and then I said to my mom, we must visit Shaanxi Science Museum tomorrow.

　　7月23日妈妈一早就带我去参观陕西科技馆。在门口遇到了一些孩子和西安科技报社的潘叔叔。潘叔叔向我们解释到这些孩子是小记者今天到此来学习科技知识，回去后要写文章投稿。看着小朋友们脖子上戴着小记者证，我也决心做小记者写文章。潘叔叔说我可以加入投稿。
　　My mom took me to Shaanxi Science Museum early in the morning on July 23. I met some children and Mr. Pan from the Xian Science Press. Mr. Pan explained to us that these children are little Journalists and are here to study science and technology today, and each of them will have to write an essay about the experience. Seeing that all the kids had picture ID tags on their necks, I decided to become a little Journalist and write an essay. Mr. Pan said that I can participate and submit my essay too.

　　我们9点进去后在科技馆的二楼做了许多有关电的有趣的实验。比如说小鸟为什么不会触电的实验。许多孩子都“触电了”，当时就我安全通过了所有脚步。我的两只脚轮换着在不同的脚印上跳，两只脚之间的静电电势差很小，所以我就像小鸟那样电不死。
　　After 9:00 AM, we entered the Science Museum and went to the 2nd  floor to do many interesting electricity related experiments. For example, in the experiment why birds could not get electrocuted, many children all got “electrocuted,” I was the only one that passed all steps safely. My two feet hopped in turn on different foot prints, the static voltage difference between my two feet was very small, and therefore I could not be electrocuted like birds.

　　在三楼和四楼，我特别喜欢方轮车，缓慢的气泡，最速降线，概率，弹性碰珠，声聚焦，看得见的声波，倾斜的小屋，伯努里吸盘，等等。我在陕西科技馆学到了很多科技知识。
　　On the 3rd and 4th floors, I enjoyed the Square-Wheeled bicycle, the Slow Gas Bubbles, the Fastest Descending Roller Tracks, the Probability, the Elastic Metal Beads, the Foci of Sounds, the Visible Sound Waves, the Leaning House, the Bernoulli Suction Plate, etc. I learned a lot at the Shaanxi Science Museum.
